As China's opening to the outside world during the past 2 or 3 decades, an interesting fact is that Chinese people are usually friendlier towards foreigners than towards our own folks, especially white people are hundred time luckier in China no matter they speak good Chinese or not, much respected, easier to find a decent job and earn good salaries. Many Chinese women very much appreciate western men for their gentleman air, sense of humor, the way they respect women etc, and they also yearn for the exotic way of life abroad. So, they would very much like to fall in love and get married with foreign men and have a warm family together. Many foreign men find it interesting in the combination of different culture and way of life.

As western countries are developed and people are becoming more materialized and losing traditional values, many people tend to find the lost simple values in their life such as pure long lasting relationship and stable family life. Usually Chinese women are brought up with traditional values that have rooted in Chinese culture for a long, long history, most of them expect love and a long lasting family life after getting married. At this point, the eastern and western need meets, thus international marriage become acceptable and popular.

However, one has to admit that there are differences in culture, customs, language and way of life. There are times that the two people find it hard to understand each other. Many of our members can't speak each other's language at all at the beginning. But, luckily, with true feeling between them, they can even read each other's heart simply with eye expression and body language, plus help of translator or a translation machine at hand, surprisingly, there's no much problem in building up their relationship. They even find it much fun to learn each other's language from each other.

It's easy for a meet-up but would be somewhat difficult when moving to live in a foreign country at the beginning due to language and culture difference and adjustment reason. Usually it takes about one year to overcome the difficulties. Some female members would like to learn English while they wait for the approval of visa, or learn it in a language school after arriving at their husband's home, considering it's much easier to learn the language in a lingual environment. At the same time, it's interesting that many foreign men would like to learn Chinese, too. Learning Chinese becomes hot abroad nowadays.

As you can see, when love sprouts in your heart, dealing with all these difficulties are but a fun process.
